MPP High Voltage Cable Protection Pipe
MPP High Voltage Cable Protection Pipe is a specialized conduit for power cable protection, manufactured using modified polypropylene (MPP) as the primary raw material via an extrusion process. The product features excellent electrical insulation, high-temperature resistance, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance. Primarily used for the protection of laid power cables, it is compatible with various installation methods, including open-trench laying and trenchless techniques such as directional drilling (pipe pulling) and pipe jacking. It is widely applied in sectors such as municipal power grids, telecommunications, highways, railways, bridges, industrial parks, and residential complexes. It effectively shields high- and low-voltage power cables from external damage and corrosion, ensuring safe and stable power transmission. With a service life exceeding 60 years, it is suitable for use with high-voltage lines (above 10kV) and cable duct banks, serving as an ideal alternative to traditional steel or PVC conduits.

Performance Parameters
MPP Raw Material: Density 0.91–0.95 g/cm³; tensile strength (23±2°C) ≥ 24.0 MPa; butt-fusion joint tensile strength ≥ 21.6 MPa.
Mechanical Properties: Flexural strength (23±2°C) ≥ 37.0 MPa; flexural modulus 900–1200 MPa; flattening test (D/2, -5°C): no rupture; falling-weight impact test (-5°C): 9 out of 10 samples show no rupture (5 kg × 2 m for D ≤ 125 mm; 6 kg × 2 m for D ≤ 160 mm; 10 kg × 2 m for D > 160 mm).
Thermal Properties: Vicat softening temperature (10 N, 50°C/h) ≥ 120°C; high heat deflection temperature, capable of withstanding short-term high-temperature exposure and meeting heat dissipation requirements during cable operation.
Electrical Properties: Insulation resistance ≥ 1.0 × 10¹² Ω·m; dielectric strength (breakdown voltage) ≥ 30 kV/mm; free of conductive impurities, ensuring electrical insulation safety.
Applicable Environmental Parameters
Operating Temperature: -5°C to 95°C; low-temperature resistant formulations available for special conditions (down to -20°C).
Operating Pressure: Non-pressure piping; primarily withstands soil pressure, external loads, and construction-related impact forces.
Burial Depth: Standard type ≤ 8 m; reinforced type ≤ 15 m (adjustable based on ring stiffness class; special depths require specific engineering design).
Application Scenarios: Municipal power conduit systems; cable protection for highways and railways; cable laying in industrial parks; trenchless crossing projects (under roads, rivers, or buildings); and areas where excavation is prohibited, such as heritage sites and protected agricultural zones.
